Senior Pastor Dr. Ouida F. Lee is the Senior Pastor of the fast growing Church of the Disciple, 220 S. Cockrell Hill Rd., located in the suburban city of DeSoto, Texas. Dr. Lee is becoming known throughout the community because of her progressive and creative approach to ministry. She has a real passion for reaching the community for Christ and leads her congregation in facing the critical social ills that impede the growth of healthy families and communities. Dr. Lee has honed her skills for ministry through serving as Associate and Senior Associate Pastor on large church staffs. She is a visionary with the belief that through the power of the Holy Spirit, "nothing is impossible." It is her belief that the Great Commission, "go and make disciples," is the motivation for the formation of the ministry plan for the local church. In her earliest Pastoral leadership, Dr. Lee formed the North Town Community Development Corporation building a community playground for the children in this impoverished neighborhood and offered minor home repairs to homeowners. Dr. Lee is a graduate of the Dallas County Community Colleges, Dallas Baptist University, Southern Methodist University - Perkins School of Theology with both a Master and Doctorate degrees. Dr. Lee is a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She is married to John C. Lee, Jr. and they are the parents of three children and grandparents of five.
