My name is Monica Guilbeaux, and I am the chairperson of the Administrative Council here at The Church of the Disciple. As chairperson my role is to partner in ministry with our pastoral leaders, the lay leaders, and other member of the council to create and sustain the congregation’s plan to make disciples for Jesus Christ.
For the last several years I have been on a faith journey working quietly for the glory of the Lord. During that time I held several positions here at Church of the Disciple. I have been Worship Chair, Family Ministries Chair, on the Board of Trustees, Lay Teaching Committee, and The Lay Leadership Committee. I have also served in various capacities with our youth and children groups standing in the gaps wherever needed.
For the last 24 years I have worked as an elementary teacher. I am a graduate of Southern University A & M College with a B.A. and M.A. in Elementary Education. My most cherished accomplishment is my family. I have a husband of 20 years name Joseph, a son, Devin, and a daughter, Courtney. As a parent and a Christian my greatest gift I have to pass on is the love of the Lord.
